GMAS Teams
We are offering four teams for the upcoming 2008-2009 season, including a senior team, junior team, youth team and a mini team.
Senior Team - Advanced - Level 3 or 4
Ages 18 and Under (as of May 31, 2008)
This team will compete regionally in New England. There is usually one trip per year requiring travel and overnight stay. The 2007 and 2008 teams traveled to Hershey, PA for a competition.
Skills Requirements:
Senior team members should have mastered basic cheerleading skills, such as jumps, motions and basic stunting. A standing back handspring and round off back handspring will be required by July.
Practice Information:
The Senior Team will practice twice a week for 3 hours each night.
Practices are mandatory.
Flyers will be expected to arrive 15 minutes early for additional stretching

Junior Team - Competitive - Level 2
Ages 14 and under (as of May 31, 2008)
This team will compete regionally in New England. There is usually one trip per year requiring travel and overnight stay.
Skills Requirements:
Junior team members must display a sincere desire to cheer. Junior team members should have a strong round off. Must be willing to work within a team and show consistent improvement of basic skills.
Practice Information:
The Junior Team will practice twice a week for 2 hours each night.
Practices are mandatory.

Youth Team - Level 1
Ages 8-11 (as of May 31, 2008)
This team is an instructional class for our younger cheerleaders!
The team will learn a routine and perform at local competitions.
Skills Requirements:
The cheerleaders will be introduced to basic arm motions, jumps, tumbling and stunting techniques. Must be able to follow direction and have mastered a cartwheel!
Practice Information:
The Youth Team will practice once a week for 1 1/2 hours.
The Youth Team will be sign-ups only. No Tryouts Required unless you wish to tryout for the Junior Team.
Practices are mandatory.

Mini Team - Level 1
Ages 5-8 (as of May 31, 2008)
